Should I ship it to the dorms or the nearby hotel, or just carry it in the luggage we are a family of 4? Which is the best service to use if shipping— I plan to not be a packer.

Also how punctual is super shuttle?

What’s cheapest?

Pack as much crap as you can into luggage/carryons that your airline will allow you for free.
FYI - Southwest is 2 checked bags w/ 50 lb limit, 2 carryons (I actual luggage, the other personal - backpack/purse/etc…)
After that, UPS/FedEx/USPS it to the dorms.

Pack what you will need first in luggage, then the unnecessary items can go via a shipping company

If 4 people are flying out there, then just put all your stuff in checked luggage. If you have 4 suitcases or boxes, then each family member takes 1 under their name (like $15-20 each in that case unless its Southwest). Only ship it out there if you’re travelling solo. I’d recommend you buy some stuff once you get here instead of before you leave. Try to get here a day or two early and buy bedding, pillows, desk organizers, school supplies, etc. Its usually better to do that than to buy it on the east coast and bring it here.

A lot of stores that sell dorm items will allow you to pick up your purchases from a store close to your dorm. If you haven’t ordered everything yet, I would recommend picking stuff up from the store nearest UCLA rather than shipping all the way from the EC.
