How to use PSAT scores to improve for SAT's?

I just got my PSAT score back, I got a 195 (95th percentile). I got in the 98th for critical reading, 94th for math, and 99th for critical reading.
I’m a sophomore and have taken a few practice tests, but I really haven’t done much.
My goal, however, is to go to Columbia. So, I am aiming for a 2300 on the SAT’s. I got a 210 on a practice test, but that’s my highest so far.
Does this seem like an achievable goal? I’m able to dedicate a LOT of time to this if I see no improvement. Thanks!

Definitely possible, you’re in great shape. Read the pinned topics in the SAT prep section to learn the best approach and then work on that.

Just for motivation: I attained a 202 (I think – I don’t even remember, haha) sophomore year and 2300+ on the SAT, so you are definitely in great shape seeing how you can already score higher than I could when I was your grade.

Buy the Blue Book and read it. Do practice tests. Start a study group with other diligent students. My daughter went from 216 in sophomore to 229 in junior year thanks to joining a study group. She will take the SAT in March.
