How to work faster on the SAT?

Does anyone have suggestions on learning how to work faster on the SAT?

Details: Person A is an above average student in school (by a comfortable but not huge margin), is pretty accurate on the questions he answers on the SAT, but leaves the last 1/3 or so blank because he runs out of time (especially on the W and CR sections).

Obviously, the more familiar he becomes with the kids of questions/answers/errors there are on the SAT the faster he’ll go. But does anyone have other suggestions of things that worked?

What score is Person A targeting? To score a 600 in R, he’d need roughly 66 percent of questions answering correctly. To score a 600 in W, he’d need 75 percent of multiple choice questions answered correctly. So, skipping 1/3 of questions could be the right strategy for this student.

The number of questions answered (& worked on) should depend on the student’s target score.
