Idrk what to do for all the engineering essays I have to write. Just to be clear the prompts go something like this “If you are interested in pursuing a B.S.E. (Bachelor of Science in Engineering) degree, please write a 300-500 word essay describing why you are interested in studying engineering, any experiences in or exposure to engineering you have had, and how you think the programs in engineering offered at Princeton suit your particular interests.” That’s Princeton’s btw. It seems as if there are 2 options: 1. Tell a story and relate it to the prompt. 2. An essay that discusses the actual reasons as opposed to an anecdote that describes the reasons. And also, how do you make an engineering essay original considering that the question is so generic?

1st half of the essay = an engineering hobby or experience and what you liked about it / how you grew as a person.
2nd half of the essay = how will princtons (over a diff school) benefit you.

I also find it very difficult to write an engineering essay. The prompt is very dry.

^^you write your kids essay too?

@BrownParent Are you having a bad day?
