How to write why essays??????????

how should I handle the why essays…
I’m really bombarded with why essays. ha
um can it be more based on factual things that i like about schools? or does it have to have majority of the essay on my feelings about school? or combination maybe???

What made you apply in the first place? Write down your response to that question.

but then should it be more focused on facts or on my feelings?

If both led to your applying to the school, then include both! Don’t make this a harder question than it has to be. :-)

Sit down in a chair, isolated from everything in your room so that the only thing within arms reach of you is the prompt, paper, and pencil. Then just think about the question, reflect. Do that for an HOUR, yes…an HOUR straight.

people are so used to analyzing literature texts yet they don’t know how to analyze and reflect on their own lives. There isn’t a simple “guide” to find yourself. You just have to be willing and give yourself an opportunity to do it. Stay GLUED to that chair for however many hours it takes. This is a skill that you’ll learn to appreciate later in life.

Oh, and chances are, 1 out of every 4 CCers that do this realize they’re applying to school for the prestige only :P. In that case, don’t apply.

radron- ur bein generous, i think 1 out of 2 ccers
