How to be a good mach for universities? I know you should you all aspects of them and to put them somehow in your essay to evidence that your are informed and a good match for them.
How to know more about one specific uni? Exactly what aspects you should look for? Where and how to find these informations?

<p>It is not clear what you are asking. Do you want to figure out what colleges might be a good match for you? Or how to communicate to the college that you are a good match?</p>

<p>You can visit the college website to read more about it. Out here on College Confidential you can read the forums for the college. There is a website called C-o-l-l-e-g-e P-r-o-w-l-e-r (without the dashes) that has good information. There is a book called the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” that is a very good resource, too.</p>

<p>as @intparent said, you try to learn what kinds of students the school has and show that you match up with those kinds of students. you want to demonstrate that you know what’s special about the school, its location, and your proposed major. visiting the school could be a big help.</p>

<p>More important than all of these is knowing what the school will cost you. You don’t talk about this in your essays, of course, but you do want to know you can afford to go there. If you’re not full pay, and if you’re not a US citizen or permanent resident, you need to know you will find very few colleges that offer financial aid to you. Here are some urls that list them:</p>
