How tough is Stat 311?

I’m a freshman majoring in Economics but I have never taken a Stat class in my life (though I think It’ll be something I like). In high school I went with the AP Calc path and received credit for Math 124 (required for Econ too) but I have never taken a Stat class. What is Stat 311 about? What is the difficulty level in Stat compared to Calc?

Thanks.

From what I’ve heard Stat is much easier to wrap your head around than Calc. Also, I have a related question… How is the online Stat 311 class?

I took AP Stat last year (I am a senior in high school) so I may be able to offer some insight. I get out of the class bc of my AP score. The concepts are relatively easy, but be prepared for a lot of busy work (at least that’s how it is in AP Stat, not positive about UW). It is nothing like calc; in fact, it isn’t even really math. It’s just analyzing data and interpreting various sets/scatterplots etc. If you are a logical/analytical thinker, you will do just fine.
