A student applying who is both “minority” (hispanic) AND a legacy (mom went to Yale).
I’m figuring that combo will be quite rare and be a BIG boost.
Agree/disagree?

Disagree. There are at least two posters on this board that have the same status.

heheheh

eating food + princessbell + that girl from cali (might you be her?)

Also it’s probably going to be a huge boost. There’s probably less than a hundred people applying this year who can claim each. That said, I’m not getting in…

Only a boost if you have the rest of the package to go along- makes them take notice but doesn’t make up for grades, scores, activities, awards…I’d say.

I’m not sure, because the whole idea of getting URM status is recognizing you’ve come from a disadvantaged background (even though that doesn’t always happen). I’m not sure what would actually happen but IMOP they should kind of cancel each other out.

Automatic reject for incorrect use of the word “unique.”

It was a unique eggbeater.
