Last year my friend won the Theodosius and Irene Senkowsky prize from the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute. How useful (theoretically) would it be if he applied to Harvard University (he plans to work in the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute).
Thanks guys!

None of here know anything about that prize. Very few of us knew that Harvard had a Ukrainian Research Institute. Tell your friend to put it on his application. It will probably help and it can’t hurt, so there’s no reason whatsoever to leave it off.

Your friend will still need a very compelling application. The prize in question should only be a small fraction of his allure.
