Girls State was actually pretty fun! Aside from the intense schedule and prolonged meetings, I’d say it was a great experience. I didn’t run for any elected positions, just like 2 appointed positions so I wouldn’t have a colossal load of work every night lol. What’d you guys think?

I went to Boys State in New Hampshire, and there was around sixty juniors. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience which I learned so much. I now know I don’t want to be involved with State government (not something for me) but it inspired me to follow my dreams of being a lawyer. I was town clerk and that was a lot of work, but it was w

I went to Boy’s State in New York, and i was just amazed by how much went into it. New York’s had over 1000 juniors all on one campus. The difference between New York’s Boy’s State and most other states is that their are Marines there to escort people to and from different places (marching in formation by the way). But even with that I absolutely loved it, the mixture of military and government really gives you a feel of actual government.

New York sounds intense but cool lol. Over 1000?? Wowww I’m trying to picture your senate and assembly lol. I went to California Girls State and there were 474 girls. 60 boys? NH really is small lol.

So at Girls State we have a song called “Take Me Over To Boys State” that’s sung in the tune of Take Me Out To The Ball Game. Do you guys have a song dedicated to Girls State? Lol jw hahaha

I loveloveloved it! I was at Florida Girls State (300 of us) and was Speaker of the House! It was a truly awesome experience and I can’t wait for Girls Nation!

I went to Michigan Boys State (260ish people). I was on the Court of Appeals. It was a really awesome experience

Washington Boys State was amazing. (~350)
I’m looking into law as my field of interest, and my school totally dominated the field. Of the 4 boys our school sent (its not exceptionally amazing either), two got State-level positions, but I lost and ended up as Senate Majority Leader.

We had wars on other cities (by “attacking” toilets till they were deemed KIA), and on the last day of government, there was a secession by three of four counties, and the boys just started marching without adult guidance.

Unlike Girls State, there was absolutely no song and dance though. They made it seem like Girls State was a Girl Scout convention.

VA Girls state was AHmazing…i walked away with 42 new best friends tht i will nvr forget…songs were fun and some annoying…i got girls nation alternate…great on college apps…overall it was great
