How well is the financial aid?

For an out of state student, is the financial aid generally good? I know it depends on need-based and merit-based, which varies a lot between many different people, but in general because I saw on Princeton Review it ranked 3rd in not so great financial aid.

Bear in mind it is a huge university, and public, so they don’t have a huge endowment to draw from like private institutions. So, generally speaking, these funds help but are nowhere near what private institutions offer.

I am OOS and got a merit scholarship for 8,000 per year so 32,000 total. I think that was a pretty good deal. I didn’t get any need based aid so not sure how that works but they give a lot of merit aid as many people I met have a merit scholarship. The presidential scholarship is the most popular and I think the values range from 1,000-36,000 total. Hope that helped

I’m in state and didn’t get any aid. I know of a few people who did though. I guess it all depends on your FAFSA.
