For both my freshman and sophomore years, I had an EFC that was around 1000. As a result, my PELL Grant was reduced by $1000. However, I received a $3900 CA Grant from Virginia and a $3,000 academic achievement grant that was need-based. If my EFC were to rise to 4000 or 5000, how would this impact the other grants I receive? I know the PELL would be reduced by that much, but I am curious how the others would be impacted.
Have you tried to ask your financial aid office?
A Pell grant is based on your FAFSA EFC. Getting these grants would not change your EFC.
