I’m planning on majoring in Business at the University of Northern Colorado. Sure, it has a notable Performing Arts and Education program, but its Business school is basically bunk. Is this going to affect me in life? I definitely plan on going to grad school, and I intend to go to a GOOD one. But will a no-name undergraduate school affect my chances of getting in?

Also, UNC is also known as the University of No Credit because a lot of its credits don’t transfer. Is this just an overall bad choice?

No…get good grades…get internships…school won’t matter.

If it makes you feel any better a good friend of mine went there (chemical engineering / microbiology majors though) and for grad school she was accepted at several prestigious schools including Stanford and others like it. Granted she wasn’t a business major but like others have said if you do well the school (and at work if you’re looking for an MBA) it won’t matter much.

You haven’t yet learned the difference between finance and accounting. I think it is safe to say that it is too early for you to consider graduate school.
