How will this affect me?

<p>Ok so I waived my writes to see the GC rec but she passed it to me in the end to get me to mail them out.</p>

<p>It appears that she only ticked “well above average” for all three categories. However, the puzzling thing is the first words that she would use to describe me are EXTRAORDINARY STUDENT in caps. She recommends me ‘enthusiastically’ as well and goes on to talk about how I took three IB language courses and am trilingual, which is an extremely rare trait in our school.</p>

<p>So I can’t figure how terrible/good this recommendation is, considering how she only ticked “well above average” and the rest of the recommendation was good.</p>

<p>How will this affect me? Any opinions?</p>

<p>They’ll probably think she’s just confused and put more weight on the written recommendation than the boxes.</p>

<p>The university will probably think she must have mistakenly ticked off the ‘above average’ slots considering the fact that the teacher used the phase ‘extraordinary’ in caps. I would not worry too much if I were you!</p>
