<p>Last year, during sophomore year, in Precalculus H I got a D+ first semester and a C+ second semester. So this year, during junior year, I retook that class and I got an A and a A-. Do colleges like UC Berkeley and UCLA take the new grades? or do they use my first grades? how will a retaken course impact my chances at acceptance. </p>
<p>*The reason I got such bad grades last year was because I just didn’t understand the material, but through luck or magic it made perfect sense this year.</p>
