How will you find out if you get in tomorrow?

The last email I got from stanford was 2/3/09

that tells me my application was complete and it included my id number.

Do they send out emails or something? Or is there a link I have to go to?

E-mail.

10 char

I haven’t gotten anything from Stanford. At all. (Other than the confirmation e-mail)

But I don’t think that really matters. Chicago kept mailing me stuff (aka school magazine, course catalog, and a lot of little things) after I sent in EA, but I ended up getting deferred then I was put on a waitlist.

I think it depends on whether the institution wants to maintain communication with people, so that they can spread the word. I know Chicago wants to increase its applicant pool, but unlike them, Stanford already has 30,000 applicants. I don’t think they need or appreciate the extra work.

But then again Stanford AO has in the past arranged for faculty to speak with you if you are admitted … but they do that to increase their yield rate.

I haven’t received an email yet…are they supposed to be sent out today?

^i got my decisions email a couple hours ago. maybe they’re just sending out rejections first :(

^No, there have been acceptances. If you haven’t got anything, they are probably sending out waves of emails to avoid massive system crashes (they apparently were even upgrading the email system a few days ago, which proves sending 30,000 or whatever emails at once is problematic).
