How will you react to your decision?

So guys...decision time is like in a week or so. I'm probably gonna die from a heart attack the day of. How will you guys celebrate (or mourn) if you get in/do not get in?
Also, will you share the news on Facebook? What will you put as your status?

For the entire day, I'm listening to a playlist devoted entirely to musical acts from the Chicago Area- Styx, Lupe Fiasco, Cheap Trick, Rage Against the Machine (not really Chicago, but they were from Illinois and honestly too good to not include), Kanye West, among others.

If I get in, My facebook status will read "University of Chicago. Class of 2017. Lets go." I will probably also not do any homework for the rest of the night. I'd also tweet something similar

If not, I'd probably tweet it, not facebook status it. I'd be sad. Huge understatement, but whatever, lets not think about that

@ASH5297 wouldn't it be class of 2016?

@nondairycreamer yes, it should be. Thanks for correcting that haha

Either way it goes, I will scream.

Cry. For what reason? Depends.

@ASHS: ;/a>

i will be so nervous. oh my god.

Accepted: Make a post on Tumblr and then party.

Deferred/Denied: Drown my sorrows in low-fat frozen yogurt.

@ASH5297: you need some common too. I love Chicago music.

I figure my best bet is to stock party supplies. Then, I can quickly get ready for a bash if I get in, and drown my sorrows in the party snacks if I don't. Good plan?

I will explode, either with relief/happiness, or terrible depression and an overall feeling of failure that will likely last several weeks.

Depends on what day they're released.
Assuming it's on a day where I don't have dance (ahhh, wonderful company life!) I will go to the gym immediately following my decision for either a pump work out or a I need to drown my sorrows in running a treadmill work out. But these things will come first for an accept - Lots of crying and screaming and dancing and phone calls. And an all caps post to facebook and tumblr. I don't want to think about reject/deffered yet. I'll jump that hurdle when I get to it.

I haven't told anyone that it's my number one. I don't want to have other people be disappointed by my rejection. I'll be disappointed enough for everyone.
I've just spent this whole time expecting a rejection to minimize pain. So, I'll just listen to my 'Rejection hurts, chocolate doesn't.' playlist.

If accepted: Scream and cry. I would also have a LOT of phone calls to make!
If denied: Also cry, probably listening to "Someone Like You" (did anyone watch that episode of SNL?) Oddly enough, Chicago is the only school for which a rejection would devastate me.
Next week can't come fast enough!

keep me posted of the results. ill keep an eye on this thread:D

but definitely you guys have better chance of getting admitted than me...:(

Why a week? I thought it was supposed to be by the end of December.

I heard something about the 15th? Is that when they're releasing decisions?

Admitted: GOOO Crazy. not even kidding! I'll be so happy... post it as a status.
Rejected: ....keep doing other applications. I just got rejected from Columbia, so I'm not feeling good about this. I guess I'll hope to get in regular to my other schools

Accepted: Breathe.
Deferred: Breathe.
Rejected: Breathe.

^ well tbh id continue "breathing" even if i hadnt applied at all.:D

Accepted: cry with happiness while eating nutella
Rejected: cry with despair while eating nutella
