how worthless is BioMed Eng Undergrad degree in today's job market?

Is there any need for BME at the undergrad level in the job market or is it better to take a more specialized degree like MechE, EE, or ChemE and then venture into the world of BioTech

As a current colaborator in Medicine

No, I disagree that BioMed Engineering is useless.
It is very important for the advancement of medicine.

If you love research, you’ll love the major, and if u love the major you’ll love the opportunities to do research outside college.

Go to a med center, (UCLA med center is amazing for research)
The only problem is

BioMed is research pretty much, if this is your passion go for it… or you may turn out like most BioMed engineering majors who end up going to Med School
