I accidently pressed some button or something and have
“loiter for as linger as I could” instead of “loiter for as long as I could”

Then, for my supplementary materials, i submitted my resume,
and I accidently submited my rough draft, so I just found out
one grammar mistake and wierd words that shouldn’t be there

Oh my god…

Would this affect my chances to the Ivies?

it might show that you didn’t bother to take time and work on your app

call them and re submit your app, but i don’t think it will really matter

Calm down…don’t worry about it. If they say something about your app, tell them you either accidently submitted it without changing it or that you checked for errors and you couldn’t find it, and that it was a human error (they can’t really punish you for those.)

I don’t think it will greatly affect your chances. People are only human, we make mistakes all the time. I think it might be overkill to call and submit a new one- they might not even accept a new copy.

It certainly won’t help. As you already know, waiting until the last second as I’m assuming you did will lead to more careless errors. If you did not wait until the last second, you obviously needed to proofread your essay. So, Yes at schools as selective as the Ivies I would say careless mistakes don’t reflect well on your character and may harm your chance of admission.

Doesn’t truly matter, apparently. My friend had “dear” for “deer” and “rode” for “road,” they were both in the same sentence, I didn’t catch them on the first go-round and she was accepted ED to MIT. They only have so much time to look at them. It shouldn’t hurt too much…although “weird words that shouldn’t be there” are a little different.

if i made a small mistake that had to do with listing dates on the commonapp but sent a letter to each school including the corrected page before the deadline, that should be fine right?
