How would this look on my application?

I was master of ceromony for the class of 2011,
and I did carpentry in building and designing my room from scratch.
I’m a junior graduating early (with wonderful grades btw) in 2012.

I’m not quite sure how I would state these three of my achievements in my application nor on the common app. Also, how would that make me look?

What is a master of ceremony? Just curious. :)

You can describe the “master of ceremony” in the short space given in the common application (under activities.) Same goes for carpentry. As for early graduation, there is a box you check if your progress through high school is irregular - which covers gap years, taking 5 years through high school, early graduation, and other things.

Graduating early is “meh”. Why are you doing that? Have you exhausted your school’s offerings? I had enough state-mandated credits to have graduated shortly after Sophomore year. But I stayed and exhausted my schools AP and Honors courses. These showed that I was extremely serious about my academics. Does your transcript show the same? If not, then I would seriously reconsider graduating early. Unless you have some spectacular plans for a gap year, leaving HS early doesn’t enhance you in the eyes of colleges, to be frank.

@ Ohiomom, the host of the graduation ceromony (for the high school graduates)

@ Bobtheboy, Thanks alot dude!

@ T26E4, I transfered into a new school in which I have taken most of the honors classes (including senior courses) in my sophmore (and my junior) years. As for AP, I will complete 2 out of the several offered. (3-4 AP’s offered) I can only take two because my schedule was already filled with courses.
