I know I should have probably asked way earlier, but since my family has practically saved no money for college, have skipped rent several times this year and had our utilities cut off at several points, it would be really helpful if I know how to get a waiver for the online application (I haven’t clicked submit yet) – I hope there isn’t a postmark deadline that you have to mail before sending in your app?

It’s just that I read about waiver policies, but the whole postage thing discourages me – especially since I’m still waiting on some of my recs and am unsure if I should have my application ready before sending in the waiver request – if someone can also offer advice about other schools’ waiver policies that would be nice too.

I am confused though: can I send it in with my application, or do I have to send it before? I am worried that I have to scramble to send it in by this week, wait for a response, then send in my application.

I think you can send it in with your application, they’ll likely just hold onto your app until they either receive payment or approve of your waiver.

So if I am fairly confident my waiver will be approved (or should I be? I am on the free lunch program and qualify for the CB waivers) I should not have too many worries? [Well, besides the application itself, of course.]
