@serene01 Hi, I assume you’re in the BSMD program at Howard right now. I’ve applied this year and I’m just wondering how it is and if it is unmanageable doing it in two years. Also are there a good amount of Asians/ Indians in the program or school as a whole because I feel like I would be out of place in an HBCU.
Has anyone received any updates or interview invitation from Howard 6-year BSMD program yet?
I am Asian myself, trust me, you will NOT be out of place here. I love my college and my BS/MD GROUP, again one has to be really focused to complete the Pre- requisites in 2 years , but it’s possible. I am glad for Being part of thIs Bsmd group. Good luck to you
@serene01 do you have any sense of what percentage of candidates who were granted interviews were ultimately admitted into the program? Thank you!
I am not sure about how many candidates were interviewed , I think it might be around 35 , and 10 got into the program. Wish you all the best
@serene01 I have been contacted for an interview for the BS/MD program at Howard, do you have any tips for the interview? Also, do you know how the Presidential Scholarship fits in with the 6 year program (if it does)?
For BS/MD students who has presidential scholarship should be covering your 4 years which includes up to 2nd year of MED school (I don’t know if it changed this year) .

I had taken 12AP classes in high school.

I received interview invite BS/MD 2020, very nervous, can someone share what kind of interview they do? I heard group interview . Does all students in one room? Can they hear each other ?

I am really sorry, I totally understand from your point of you , but I can’t do that and it’s not ethical nor fair, also they might change the questions and mode of interviews. just be confident ,positive, good luck to all of you.
