Email is out to register for Accepted Students Day
There is a conference call about HU housing tonight at 7 PM. The initial email was bounced into my SPAM. I am just finding out about it now. Check your SPAM folders.
@lville23 did the email come out today? DD doesn’t have that email.
@Momof Three80 and anyone else who is interested here is the e-mail I received this morning about the conference call on housing taking place at 7:00pm tonight. It contains the conference call-in info.

@SavedAllDay Thank you sooooo much! Is there a parent email blast that you all signed up for? I will definitely be listening in as we already paid the housing application fee.
@MomofThree80 if you go to the Howard Student Affairs page at https://studentaffairs.howard.edu there is a link under Programs and Resources where parents can sign-up for e-mail notifications
Thank you @SavedAllDay
Yes we got the same email this morning, but wouldn’t have known if they hadn’t resent it. From what I got from the call, we will have to pay the enrollment fee($300) and the housing fee ($50) to become a prospective student. Prospective students will be notified via email in April re: the next steps for housing selection/requests.
Just saw on the HU Admissions instagram story that Accepted Students Day will be held online only. It’s also posted on the ASD webpage. https://www2.howard.edu/accepted-student-day
@havingfunyet Yep, my daughter forwarded an email as Howard is going to online classes through April 6th (they may extend further) and all events above 50 people will be postponed or cancelled through May 1st.
Yes, I am on the howard parent email list and got that as well.
My daughter was looking forward to admitted students day. Did any parents attend the conference call on housing options? If so, do you know how we are to apply this year?
@trippfolsom I participated in the call on housing and while the focus was mostly on currently enrolled students they did mention that incoming students who have paid their enrollment fee as well as the $50 housing fee would receive an e-mail regarding the housing process the week of April 27th. Of course this was before COVID-19 upended everything so who knows if that date still stands.
Thank you for the update!
Team, please check your spam with update information on the Howard University Freshman scholarship.
I received one. But it says to check bisonweb and their in’t anything on there. Any idea of the amount?
If you receive the Freshman scholarship, you will need to sign the contract to accept the award. The full checklist will show up on the Eligibility → Student Requirements page under Financial Aid. @ChangeTheGame Please help if I am missing something.
That is the 1st step to sign the contract. You may have other Student Requirements to complete (like going through loan counseling etc.) You would also have to eventually go to the Terms and Conditions tab under the Aid year 2020-2021 and accept those conditions as well. Once you do that, you would be able to accept or decline each line awarded in your financial aid package.
Team, We’re in the Vimeo room for the Accepted Students Day! Come on over. It starts in a few minutes. Official Start is 11 AM EST.
