How's film program like in the US?

Hello everyone,
I’m an high school student in Taiwan, and will be graduating next year’s June. I’m considering study filmmaking
in the US, but have no idea which school to attend and a billion other uncertain things.
But first, how’s film program like over there? Do American student start learning about filmmaking before
going to college? Or do they simply start learning everything after being accepted into one of the film programs?
So I guess my most important question is : “If I have literally no experience of filmmaking, and never being formally educated for it, is it still possible to study filmmaking in the US?”

oh no…there are no good film schools here.

lol

of course there are good film schools here…likely the best in the world.

what is your budget? what are your stats?

Many of the top film schools require a video sample of your work as part of the application.

About my budget, my parents told me not to concern about it, but I guess the limit will be about 40,000 per school year?
And my stats? Well, I’m not sure what that means.
