“I truly believe I will succeed if I have the opportunity to study at Brown University.”

hhahhaaha.

that bad, huh.

eek. i used that line for a couple state schools.

Well… It’s truly not that horrible. However, they will read that on a minimum of 10,000 applications. =P

i dont think short answers are thhhat important, i mean a terrible one could keep you out i suppose

but people argue that its “the most important thing in the application… yeah right”

Well it also might imply that you can only succeed if you go to _____ university…I don’t know if the adcoms like that.

No they can’t, I would suggest changing it personally. I would like to see a applicant as someone who will succeed wherever they go, cause their just that tenacious and great, I think that’s a better side of yourself to present.

The point of essay/application is to make the adcom feel you will succeed. I’m sure everyone who applies feels they could succeed there.

What are your suggestions for a “winning” ending?
