My niece got me into it. I usually flunk out at around question #4 but last week I won! Unfortunately, I only won $11.30 and I can’t cash in until I have at least $20 so I guess I need to keep playing! I have to play with the sound off, though – I can’t stand that guy who hosts it!

Congratulations! You’re the first winner I’ve met! You’re not that winner on the viral video, are you? She won $11.30. I got to the eighth question once, but usually I’m out on the third or fourth question. I do like some of the guest hosts better than Scott. Good luck tonight.

I love HQ, though I haven’t won. It has been so glitchy lately ugh!!

I play, but have only gotten to question 8 or so too. Tried playing in a group and that was fun, but it’s still tricky. Apparently you can submit questions and that’s why they are “quirky” sometimes, like with misspellings and all.

I wonder how they are making their money though. Do they get payback for asking about certain films or sports? Are they collecting all our data as we wait? Hmmmmmm.

I’ve been playing a few times a week for a while now, but got soured on the game when I read how some players are using Alexa to Google answers orally, which in many cases can be done fast enough to beat the clock. (Present company excepted, I’m sure!) Not every question lends itself to a fast Google effort, but many do, and it’s enough to skew the results. I guess you have to hand it to people for being ingenious enough to figure this out, but knowing how some of the players “cheat” takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.

At this point I’m mostly interested in how the game is going to be monetized. I assume the founders hope to sell out before the world gets bored with HQ (as they did with Vine), but in the meantime I keep waiting for an onslaught of ads.

Aww…that definitely ruins it for me. I never even thought of that. (not an Alexa person) No wonder I’m not winning. :((

I think there are a lot of ads already in it. Many times a certain question may be paid by the subject of the question.For instance when they did a question about Big Little Lies that could have been an ad. Also, on NYE they had Ryan Seacrest on there “advertising” New Year’s Rockin Eve. But, I agree that they will get bought up soon. And, this is great for Scottie’s career!

I love this game! Got my friends hooked on it to. There’s nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain! Have to sharpen my trivia skills though. Haven’t won yet.

OMG my kids LOVE this game. My UMich kid says the entire campus stops what it’s doing at 3 pm and 9 pm (eastern) to play.
