HS Fresh, What is my 3 year plan?

<p>i’m a HS Fresh in pre-IB
I have:
4.857 GPA
Straight As
2 APs - World and Macro (awaiting exams)
ECs - Civil Air Patrol, School Political Awarness Club, Chess Club, Church Youth Group, Mu Alpha Theta</p>

<p>Please do not tell me I am ahead of the game. Reading the mistakes posted on CC, I know how easy it is to slip up.</p>

<p>What do I need to do in the next 3 years to get into MIT?</p>

<p>If you want to go to MIT I assume you want to major in engineering, math, sciences, or business
so take as many Honors and AP courses in those fields and take the SAT IIs as well
And stick with most of your ECs, you don’t want to seem like a quitter</p>

<p>get in the habit of studying the night after you learn something instead of cramming before a test. it relieves SO MUCH STRESS.</p>

<p>do well on your grades, get a good SAT score (maybe start practicing now)</p>

<p>too early to give you much besides cliched answers, but overall I agree that you need to take science and math APs and SAT II’s. Work on your extracurriculars too; nothing really seems to stand out right now (because you are a freshman), so try to get some leadership positions (it’s never too early to try) and maybe form a club at school or do some research (a lot of colleges really like that).</p>
