hs freshman -- chance of ivy/ivy-type admission based on stats so far?

Hi,

I’m a high school freshman wondering where I’m at right now in terms of stats and college admission chances. Would be great to get feedback on areas to improve over the next three years. Thanks!

uw gpa: 4.0
w gpa: 4.3

awards: debate awards, history/science fair, 3rd place in constitutional law contest

extracurriculars: orchestra, varsity debate, girls who code, high school democrats of america, president/founder of school’s njhs chapter

ethnicity + income bracket: white/asian, 70k

obviously good start, and since you’re asking early, just pace yourself. you’re in the ORM bracket, so shoot for high scores (2300+ or 35+) and really find something your passionate about outside of school

also read cal newport’s book about getting into a top college. it’s called “how to be a high school superstar” or something

It is way too early to tell. From what I see right now, you’re doing well. It’s going to get a lot harder in the upcoming grades, so enjoy freshman year while it lasts  Good luck
