HS Plan- Biomedical Engineering/Biology

Ok, so I’m currently looking into majoring in biomed engineering or biology- I am not too sure yet. I’m planning on attending Northwestern, U of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), or U of Chicago. I’m a sophomore in high school and I want to start figuring out what classes to take that would look good on my transcript AND help me prepare for college. This is my four-year high school plan…

I slacked off a little bit during my freshman year because I didn’t know how many honors classes I could handle. I ended up getting all A’s on my report card and I decided to switch up to all honors classes for 10th grade, which is going to be a big leap for me. Aside from that, we aren’t allowed to take AP’s until junior year. According to my plan, I will be taking 10 out of 11 of the AP classes offered at my high school. I really do think I can handle the rigorous schedules, I love the challenge. Along with the classes I want to take, I’m planning on taking part in many EC activities, such as…

Cheerleading (9-12)
Interact/Volunteer club (9-12)
Foreign Language Club (9-12)
Mu Alpha Theta (10-12)
NHS (11-12)
NEHS (11-12)
WYSE Science Team (10-12)
Biology Olympiad (10-12)
Youth Ministry (part of my church)
Babysitting (Counts as volunteering sorta, right?)
Snowboarding & Skiing (since I was 6)

So after all that, I have three final questions…

Do I have any chances at NU, UofI, or UofC?

Is my 4-year plan practical, yet rigorous?

Will the classes I am taking be helpful and useful for what I want to major in?
Thank you!!!

anyone? haha

Wrong section.
