HSS Blank Lines

<p>Has anyone who applied to HSS as their #1 choice received a blank line?</p>

<p>The reason I am asking is because both me and a friend applied to CMU at approximately the same time, but his #1 choice was MCS whereas my #1 was HSS, and he has received a blank line while I have not. A bit puzzled, I am wondering whether the appearance of the blank line is contingent upon the school you are applying to. </p>
