I’m applying ED 2 to HSS and have been researching the GenEd requirements. I know you have to have 27 Modeling credits and 18 in Communicating, Creating, Deciding, and Reflecting, but do you have to follow specific requirements (e.g. a certain amount of foreign language courses and a certain amount of English courses in communicating, or a certain amount of math vs. science courses in modeling) or can you tailor all of your choices to your interests as long as you meet the required credit amounts? Also, how many units do each of the GenEd courses typically count as? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

In Modeling, you need to have 1 math, 1 science, and 1 ‘other’ (or another math or science). All the other sections are pretty open and don’t have any specific requirements.

Typically, each gened course is 9 units. So for Modeling you need 3 courses, for Communicating 2, for Creating 2… et cetera.

Sounds good, thank you.
