Huge commutes between classes?

I’m an Indiana resident so I don’t really know anything about Rutgers. When I spoke to my cousin (who lives in New Jersey and has a few friends at Rutgers) she said something about how her friends have huge commutes from one class to the other. My impression was that she meant commuting from one campus to the other… is this true!?

You do have to take the bus between the four campuses (College Ave, Livingston, Busch and Cook/Douglass) but it is not a long commute at all. Depending on where you’re going, it’s no more than ten minutes between the campuses (except during rush hour). I thought it was going to suck, but it’s not a big deal and never bothered me in the least.

Even from Douglass to Livingston it isn’t bad, especially since the bus is express.

the buses and the commute are not too bad. i’ve actually grown to like them. and i usually allow myself 25 minutes when commuting from campus to campus just to get to class 5 minutes early. (i live on douglass and the george street traffic can be a little crazy sometimes. so it’s faster to walk at times, in my experiences).
