Does anybody know of good schools who have a good human development major. I know or cornells in their college of human ecology and I’m looking for something like that. Cornell is just too selective that I need more options
What’s your budget, location & size preferences?
Here’s a great website that lists all colleges with a Human Development/Family Studies Major:
http://www.collegecalc.org/majors/human-development-and-family-studies-general/
Hope it helps!
Penn State, Arizona State, UT-Austin, UIUC, UW-Madison, Oregon State, Purdue, and Georgia have some of the best known human development & family studies departments, and they all have undergraduate programs.
This major tends to be at large public universities. Some exceptions are Syracuse (child and family studies), University of Rochester (they have a combined BS/MS program in human development), and Tufts (child study and human development). Brandeis doesn’t have an undergraduate human development program, but they do have a center where you can get mentorship and take graduate classes and some other social science coursework to choose from.
