<p>no, it’s not harder to get into stat wise. But if you aren’t a fit for the particular school, then there’s a good chance you won’t get in.</p>

<p>why don’t you apply to arts and sciences then</p>
<p>this has been discussed before … if you’re a great fit for HumEc and have fantastic stats, you’ll have a good shot of getting in. If you’re not a good fit for the school, you wont get in regardless of your stats and should apply to arts and sciences instead. The “SUNY” (aka … not suny) schools aren’t easier to get into, though they often put more emphasis on other things besides just SATs giving them a slighly lower range.</p>
