Humboldt State VS UCSC

Hello I have a 2.95 transfer GPA and will have all required courses completed for both UCSC and Humboldt. I am a CCC college student. So give me your thoughts on this, do I stand a chance of getting in?

Anyone?

Bump

Honestly, I think you could get into both. UCSC participates in the TAG program, which you should look up if you haven’t yet. And I don’t know much about CSUs in general, but I think HSU would probably be one of the easier ones to transfer to. So it’s really just a matter of what you want more.

I wish I could get a TAG but it has a very strict 3.0 minimum for UCSC. No way I can get my GPA up that last 0.5 before applications in October.

Thanks for your feedback I appreciate it!

Apply to both but, HSU is more likely to admit you.

Good luck.

I think you have a better chance with HSU, but UCSC is a better choice. Try both. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies! Both happy and a little concerned the feedback is so positive.

HSU had a transfer acceptance rate of 69% so you chances are very high. UCSC’s transfer acceptance rate was around 39% and since you are not eligible for TAG, your decision could go either way.

Good luck.
