Suppose one applied to HYPSM and was waitlisted at all 5 schools.

What would be the likelihood that one will gain admissions to one of the schools if one went on a hunger strike to try and get in? Suppose that the hunger strike makes headline news and becomes nationally documented.

Odds of getting national attention is slim. Plus, it shows how idiotic you are to think that going to one of the HYPSM is a matter of life or death.

Going on a hunger strike likely would guarantee that you’d never get off the waitlist. Such schools don’t want students who are so unbalanced as to do something to risk their own lives to get in.

I know you’re joking, but for idiots who think this is serious: there is no way in hell you will get national attention, and if anything you are probably reducing your chances of getting accepted.
