<p>Anyone else listening to the wind howl right now like I am? Overall it’s fine but those big gusts now and again are a bit disconcerting!</p>
<p>Really gusty in the last hour, and a lot of rain in central Maryland now…however, this is nothing compared to the coast, nothing compared to a Isabel, and NOTHING compared to Hurricane Georges that came through Pensacola when we lived there. The wind driven rain in car headlights in the driveway next door, and the sound of the roof creaking after the power went out during Georges were actually frightening. And at least when Irene blows past, tomorrow will be bright, sunny and warm. (As opposed to ghe 2003and 2010 snowstorms when the snow plows took several days to get to us, and we were truly stranded until they arrived.</p>
