Daughter ED1 accepted. GPA 3.7 UW at a NE boarding school. She’s fell in love with HWS one her first visit. She was deciding between Wesleyan and HWS and decided she liked the student culture/campus vibe at HWS the best.
Seems like EA Decision was Wednesday, December 15, in 2021. Can’t find any other info about EA notification date.
HWS website says by Jan 15 for EA
Does anyone know when the admitted students days are for the class of 2029?
EA decisions are out! Congrats to all accepted students!
Going for a whirlwind visit on admitted students day - first time. Are there any off the beaten path things, or not to miss things about the college, to check out while we are there? What specifically impressed you the most on your visit?
Sorry I didn’t see this before admitted student day. My D25 went to the Feb one. She liked it despite the cold. What did you think? Did you find places to explore? There are lots of off the beaten path places around the Finger Lakes. I hope you all had a nice visit.
We did have a nice visit, thank you! Lots of really nice people- both admin and students. Felt like everyone was happy. Great campus food. Brr cold. Good sports culture with a few places to go in the tiny town, including one very good coffee shop called “Grounded”. Sample class with prof was medium, fine.
Sounds similar to D25’s experience too, although she liked the food less and the sample class more. We found a really good donut place, but unfortunately it’s way off campus. She could never get there without a car.
