Ranked by interest:
MIT
Harvard
Princeton

JHU
Chicago
Yale
Imperial College London
Cornell

My predictions:
MIT: safety
Harvard: reach
Princeton: match
Washington in St. Louis: reach
JHU: reach
Chicago: reach
Yale: safety
Imperial College London: match
Cornell: reach

I don’t think anyone in the world can call MIT and Yale safety schools.

I think you might be confused over the meaning of a “safety” school on these forums? They’re for schools you’re pretty much 99% you’re going to get into.

Anyhow, you have a good chance at all of them (1000 hours of research = wow, and APs are good) but as ChasingRabbits said, you can never be sure.

“Essays: Perfect”
Not if you write as arrogantly as you have on here.

Mid-reach for all, your SAT scores aren’t stellar, you don’t post GPA.

Probably in WUSTL

Ivies: reach
MIT: reach
The rest idk

Chance me back please!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/831914-chances-cooper-union-i-am-urm-please-help-anxious-senior-will-chance-back.html

I see everyone’s problem here.
Reach, match, safety are terms that mean nothing to me. A higher ranked or more selective school does not mean it is better or even harder to get in.
Just relax and apply to where you actually want to go to.
Truth revealed:
My predictions weren’t serious.
I was accepted to MIT.
I won’t be applying to all the schools I listed and I’m not saying which ones. That should give me more accurate responses should others attempt to continue guessing after this. Confused yet? Can’t tell which statements are true? Don’t worry about, the more you think about the college admission process, the crazier you become.

Once you start looking at selective enough schools, the rankings and % accepted really becomes meaningless. The main thing is the admission officer’s mood while looking at your application. You just have to hope to stand out with your essay. Take a risk. They will either love it or hate it. Being average is as good as being the worst if you are rejected.

You can’t generalize that Ivies are reaches for everyone. What matters is your own confidence level. Speculation is not productive. Just relax. I wasn’t anxious about it until the 3 hours before the decisions came out.

The ability to take risks is much more important than the SAT scores. If you are serious about your dreams, give it all or nothing.

Good luck everyone!

great philosophy^^^!!!
