So I’m doing my common app essay. And I’m writing it using a ‘situational point of view’. Idk if that makes sense like I’m describing one of my googling sprees and incorporating my aspirations into it. Anyway in my essay, I mention how I type a certain question into google. Let’s just say ‘top 10 potatoes’ . and got a page that listed this. I used the exact results in the exact same order in my essay and turned each listing into a bigger essay. Does it count as plagiarism if I used the list exactly as it appeared on the Internet??? For example on The page it says
10.blue potatoes
9.yellow potatoes
Etc and in my essay I bring out these search results just as I got them on Google and expand on them ?
Like this :
10. Blue potatoes
Life is like a blue potato blah blah blah
9.yellow potatoes
Blah blah blah
Is it plagiarism if I use the list as I found it on Google ?
Argh I’m having trouble communicating my question lol does anyone understand ? Please help
