I am interested in your experiences with hypnotherapy. My husband had a session years ago before major heart surgery and there is little question in my mind that he never would have willngly gone to the hospital without it. As it was, he was calm and confident as he was admitted. He was even patient during all in the incompetence during admission, which is not his normal personna. (This was a situation where he had gone to the cardiologist who wanted to admit him immediately but my husband “negotiated” a one day “stay.” We knew of a hypnotherapist/hypnotist, he had performed at my daughter’s birthday party a week earlier, and my husband got in to see him before going to the hospital. He later had the same hypnotherapist work with my father-in-law before the same surgery.)

Specifically, my daughter has some phobias that need to be addressed, specifically spiders and needles (shots, blood tests). Also, she has anxiety that causes insomnia. Has anyone used hypnotherapy for similar issues with good (or bad) results?
