<p>Er, I don’t get how some of those would be “semi-reaches.” My thoughts:</p>

<p>Cornell: match
Duke: good chance
Georgetown: match</p>

<p>TASP is excellent; the summer language program at Harvard would be a big plus. But a passion/focus would need to be demonstrated in the app and highlighted in the essays.</p>

<p>Yes, this is “sort of” me. It’s actually what I plan and want to have accomplished by the end of high school. :slight_smile: I just wanted to see if what I wanted to get done by senior year was good enough for my favorite colleges.</p>

<p>Which includes Carnegie Mellon which I forgot to put up there.</p>

<p>hey hyejung, i’m an asian chick also, do you know if it’s harder for us to get into some of the competitive schools just 'cause they’re SO MANY asians applying?</p>

<p>hypothetically: how about asian girls who wanna go into engineering? it’s harder because there’s a lot of asians good at math? it’s easiler since it’s a girl applying to a male dominated major?</p>
