So… I finished my Princeton Interview and it’s been about a week since.
This Friday, I was making a birthday song for my friend, since I wanted to give it to him as a gift. It has some profanity in it, and I named the file “■■■■■■ Birthday song”. I was going to deliver the file to my phone (from my Mac) but then I accidentally sent the file to my interviewer…
Yes, this is entirely my fault and I don’t know why I wasn’t paying close attention…
Is this a guaranteed rejection? The song is 45 seconds long and the lyrics include stuff like “thrusting your ass” and stuff…
I explained everything to the interviewer but she isn’t responding… She seems like a recent alumn but I am just worried… Do you think she would let this go?
This made me laugh, sorry about that. I would estimate a 90% chance that this made zero difference and a 10% chance that it was noted. But even in the second event, it’s probably nowhere close to “a guaranteed rejection”, unless the song is worse than you are letting on.
It’s definitely a faux pas, but I don’t think it will hurt you. There is nothing else you can do about it now. Hope the interviewer has a sense of humor and move on.
Hey, LOL! It could have been worse - I’m quite sure the interviewer just brushed it off. However, let this be a
lesson in ‘1001 reasons why you should not send nekkid pics.’ LOL!
Depends upon the interviewer as to whether or not it will impact their assessment of you & your maturity level. While it may not be a significant factor in the admissions process, it is unlikely to help.
What do you think that your recommendation writers shared about you & your level of maturity ? If positive, then likely will be viewed as an accidental indiscretion.
