Hello everyone. I was accepted to a UC and SIR’d immediately around March. I did not know that I had to contact the university about my D and F I received last semester for my AP Literature course and AP Biology course respectively. I recently contacted the college counselor and my best options would be to retake the first semester of the two courses on APEX by my graduation, which would be on June 7th. I was passing those classes before the finals but my dog passed away which caused me to go through a stage of depression. My grades tanked from not completing assignments and not passing the finals. I am going to talk to my counselor tomorrow about this situation. I believe I can pass these two courses since I do remember most of the information for these classes but at this point, what should I do? Thanks in advance.
Get on the phone with the UC ASAP and see what you can do to fix the problem (summer school, etc.). Own the problem and do your best to fix it.
Yeah - call the UC immediately, make sure they understand your situation completely and see what they’ll do for you. If you don’t graduate, they are almost certain to rescind your admission. Short of that, they may work with you.
Honestly, it is better to know now so you can come up with another plan.
