The first semester of my senior year just ended and I got a C in Zoology, a non college-preparatory elective. The class will still be on my transcript, so will this affect my chances of the colleges I applied to? This class was not even enter-able in the applications as it’s not a college-preparatory elective or an academic class.
Depends on whether you’re applying to selective schools or not. For 75% or higher acceptance rate schools it is unlikely to make a difference. For schools with acceptance rates <50%, a C in first semester senior year - even if it is an elective - is not a positive.
