You left a warm and loving environment. You left the years of relationship building back home. The comfort of being in familiar surroundings. The friends and activities that became second nature to you for many years.
It’s a big change. It’s about maturing and growth. Unfortunately none of those important experiences come without a cost of admission.
You are naturally feeling uncomfortable and a bit lonely.
You are so normal and so ok.
It may not be the right school for you and if you make it through first year and still feel this way. You can transfer. You may have to work on this in second semester while also doing great in class. So weigh that pressure.
You will only know it’s better and you’ve grown after the fact unfortunately.
This is why they make it a crime to leave the military without permission. lol. Imagine being in boot camp and being yelled it. ?
It’s hard and scary. But few who persevere and show resilience seem to regret the path.
Keep studying. The last thing you need is a bad transcript if you do want to transfer.
Also please stop by the counseling offices. It’s usually free. It’s professional help. You will be one of many with the same issues.
It’s normal. You’re normal.
Best of luck and hope this weekend is fun for you.
