Based on the online test, I’m an ESTJ but I would say that I have characteristics of an ISTJ. The STJ are very set in stone
but I do love my private time and require some of it each day. I consider myself an E/ISTJ

LoremIpsum, I wish it were my job! It’s what I study in school, but I’m more likely to be a teacher when I graduate (a common INFP career). Documentary filmmaking is more accurately what I can’t not do. Maybe one day I’ll make a career out of it, but to be honest, I probably won’t give up teaching either.

QuantMech, love the VGNP!

Teaching is an excellent companion career to supplement trying to build a passion into a living wage. Those summer months can be a great opportunity to focus on your passion. Pursuing your passion, in turn, keeps you more enthusiastic in the classroom, helping to inspire others. It could also be a continuing source of new ideas: those with the least life experience often come up with the most interesting answers, because they have not yet been indoctrinated to give the “correct” traditional answer.

false maybe definitely

Above sounds like NPD. Especially the lack of empathy.

As Al Pacino said in Glengarry Glen Ross, where’s the chalk? I wanna be up on the board. Took the test – INTJ (whoo hoo! Say it loud, say it proud. Which is very un-INTJ-ish).

Pretty cool, Halogen. Mine came out as:

Extroversion: 42%
Orderliness: 74%
Emotional stability: 56%
Accommodation: 52%
Inquisitiveness: 74%

Pretty much me, although I think I am actually very practical – maybe got this because I said I would love to work as a theoretical physicist? I would also love to work as an experimental physicist, they just didn’t ask about that. :)

Intparent - that’s why I stopped taking physics in high school, too many experiments! I loved (and love) physics, but I just want to read about it, ask questions, put out hypotheses, and let others do the experiments to answer them :)

intparent, I like your description better. =p
NPD implies feelings of superiority and entitlement.
This person understands!

Also, to anyone who finds this stuff interesting… [say goodbye to your free time.](Personality Tests)

I am clearly at an introvert’s party. My friend asked me to go to an impromptu party (P for the win) and since I locked myself out this morning (more P), I decided to come. There are just three of us and we’re all on our computers or phone saying not much. The friend who invited me said a fourth person is coming - “Don’t be shocked. She’s very loud.”

Ha… reminds me of when D2 and 3 of her girlfriends got home from their semi-formal dance for a sleepover. They disappeared to D2’s room to change out of their dresses and did not come back. I went to check on them to see if they wanted food, and found all 4 of them curled up reading books. Yes, they are all "I"s. :)

LAN parties are my idea of a party.

QM, somehow, I am finding all of your posts PERFECTLY spot on. :p

And my DH is WAYC (What, Are You Crazy?).

I know, LasMa–that’s exactly what I have been thinking about your posts. I find them very perceptive! It’s uncanny. :)

I sometimes read old threads that have been resurrected and find a post I particularly agree with.

Then I notice that I was the one who wrote it. ;)

I hypothesize that once you’re familiar with any “types” paradigm, you can’t accurately test yourself under that paradigm because you’re inclined to answer according to the result you expect.

Okay, I took a third one and it came out ENFP. Is there one for fence sitters?
