I am an INTROVERT

Following catera’s example, I did a couple of tests. Some questions I could answer either “yes” or “no” honestly. So I did the tests answering one way and then answering the other. No matter what, I keep coming out with the same letters.

It sort of reminds me of astrology columns.

Cartera45, we need a “none of the above” category for you. :)

Or maybe “dissociative identity disorder” :-P

I prefer to think that cartera is “well balanced.” :)

I find cartera wall balanced. Also, I think you might be a bit challenged by your legal expertise at reading questions verrrrry closely. ;)

ETA: We need Jym and Hunt and the finaid ladies to put their types down, and Roger and Xiggi.

poetgrl, I took the MMPI a long time ago. One of the findings was that I was a conscientious person who was trying very hard to answer the questions correctly, which was absolutely true. I remember thinking it was spooky that a test could detect that, and that’s when I began to think there was something to these personality inventories.

Glad to hear this. I was beginning to think unbalanced. Reading up a bit, I self identify with ENTP the most.

I’ve done different MBTI tests several times, months or years apart, in the last five years or so, and landed exactly 50-50% T/F each time. Couldn’t fake that if I tried. What’s really happening is I use T in specific instances, and F in specific instances, so I can reliably “generate” an in-between result while answering honestly.

Intparent, for cats, they’re very E! They love people and sometimes I can almost see emoticons over their heads. I think they are the golden retrievers of the feline world.

I can see how this could vary by animal within a species. We have had two guinea pigs, and one was an “E” (would rather be petted than eat!) and one was an “I” (only accepted petting IF there was parsley offered at the same time).

We have three golden retrievers. One of them is an introvert. Really. I’m not even making this up.

Sometimes, he gives me this look like, “Can you believe what these guys are up to? I mean, sheesh, DOGS!”

I guess it makes sense… if people can vary this much, pets can as well.

Well, it’s all relative. I think with a different dog he might be an extrovert. But, the other two? egad.

Actually, this dog is the smartest dog I’ve ever seen. I mean he’s really brilliant. The other two? Not so much. But hearts as big as the universe.

He’s an INTJ dog!

I just re-did the test and here’s what it threw up:

Introverted (I) 79.41% Extroverted (E) 20.59%
Intuitive (N) 79.41% Sensing (S) 20.59%
Feeling (F) 65% Thinking (T) 35%
Perceiving (P) 77.14% Judging (J) 22.86%

Seems conclusive enough, so I’m moving!

Watch him. One label some have assigned to INTJs is “Masterminds”. He’s probably hatching plans to conquer the world and make himself ruler of a Golden Retriever-Dog dominated world.

If one of the extroverted dogs happens to be an ENTJ…that dog may also be hatching his/her own plan of world conquest…and/or possibly hatching ideas to either piggyback along to be the power behind the throne or to plot & carry out the first coup once the INTJ dog has triumphed with his plans.

hey, this is good! it means us J’s don’t let feelings get in the way of the facts! =)

I took the other one and got this:

I would say it is pretty accurate, except I am very practical (the theoretical physics questions probably threw it off). I like to think about things, but at the end of the day, it’s all facts and all based on reality. This is why I score all the way of the “J” side for M-B
