You’ve seen it, you’ve seen it all. Please tell me how I can raise these babies to the sky? What can I do that will benefit me and my scores?

State first SAT scores (writing, math, critical reading) then your best ones and how you achieved them.

March 2010
CR = 410
M = 440
W = 480

May 2010
CR = 430
M = 450
W = 530

August 2010 (practice test on collegeboard)
CR = 480
M = 530
W = 600
Essay = 6

What are my chances? If I have any?

I’m not sure what “to the sky” is, but I’m sure there is a chance your scores can improve. Have you tried the ACT?

No, but I am going to take it in September. Any tips? I have been studying from the Princeton Review book.

Hey again lol.

Do not use Princeton Review.

Here lol this is what I would do if I was in your situation.

I would start by purchasing the College Boards guide. Than I would, for about 2 weeks 2 sections of a test and review those sections. Review both wrong and right answers. For example. Monday I would take 2 Math sections, Tuesday 2 CR section etc etc(kind of like the xiggi method)

Than after you get a feel for it take one test a week until the test date. (Review answers thoroughly)

You only take practice tests from College Boards guide.

If you want to Review Math concepts ,get grubers guide. IF you want to review grammar quickly look at sparknotes Writing guide but if you have more time take a look at silverturles writing guide. It is more complete.

critical reading just takes practice. are you having trouble with vocab?

Oh, this is absolutely wonderful! Yes, my vocabulary has recently plumbed

OK. Today with barely any studying, maybe a week, I took my first practice test. I think Barron’s book gives really good advice, I prefer it over the BB. Anyways, I got a 1650-1700 and I am really proud. I have signed up to take the SAT in January next year. I also have Princeton Review’s 500 vocab list. Gotta study that. Like I said, I barely studied. This is a strategy I used for the CR section. It’s very helpful. Go to [How to Attack the SAT Critical Reading Section Effectively | eHow.com](http://www.ehow.com/how_5193165_attack-critical-reading-section-effectively.html).

Oh, and I am going to be a sophomore in the fall.

Barron’s book? What’s the complete title and author? I’ll check that out. I am going to be a senior this fall and I advise you to take as many SATs as you can. I am so facking extremely bummed that I missed the June SAT. I am so pooped.
