<p>First semester senior year grades: Straight A’s, my first 4.0 in high school woohoo!</p>

<p>ECs:</p>
<li>Gymnastics: Level 10, All-American, State + Regional Champion + National Finalist + Ranked in certain events, 150+ medals during my 11 years in the sport, etc etc. I currently only train 12 hours per week, but I have and sometimes still do train as many as 25 hours per week. I also coach the boys competition team about 9 hours per week at the YMCA I train at.</li>
<li>Student Government: Senior Class President this year, Executive Business Manager last year. Business comes in spurts, so I spend 5-30 hours per week on ASB stuff.</li>
<li>Ecology Club: President. About 2-3 hours per week.</li>
<li>Diving (Varsity - CIF 3rd): Decided not to pursue recruitment because I don’t love diving. Heck, I love gymnastics too much to share time, so I might not dive this year.</li>
<li>California Scholarship Federation: Was co-President last year. I was a TERRIBLE president. My co-President went to Harvard this year, and he was terrible too. I actually feel really bad about this…</li>
<li>Academic League Team: Only involved during Freshman and Sophomore years.</li>

<p>Major:
Interested in the Woody school for public policy, may decide to go to law school. I might major in English, political science, psychology, philosophy, economics, or environmental science. As you can see, I’m very professionally minded (no…).</p>
<p>Etc, Etc: I don’t know how great my RECs were because most adults who have forgotten their childhood find me excessively hyper and strange and excitable. On the other hand, these qualities - on top of my love for writing - help make my writing unique and memorable. I’m not worried about being unoriginal.</p>
<p>My interview was way fun. I talked about the themes of modern emasculation and anarchism in the movie FIGHT CLUB, which my interviewer had priorly only seen as a gore fest; differences between the west and east in terms of ethics and religion; presidential candidates from the GOP; the San Diego chargers; my best friend; and chocolate chip pancakes. </p>
<p>Princeton and Duke are starting to pull away from my other schools in what was once a dead heat for my top pick. I still refuse to answer the inevitable question, “which one’s your favorite”? But I think I can safely say on CC that it’s Princeton.</p>
<p>For the record, I applied to: Boston College (early -accepted honors), Georgetown (early - accepted), Duke, Princeton, Harvard, and Penn.</p>
